WHO WE ARE: We are a family, not just a gathering of individuals. You will find us to be real people trying to live as Christ in a difficult and challenging world. We are close knit and find comfort in each other's friendships. We know each other, enjoy time together, and care for each other's well being.

We believe in Jesus Christ as the Savior of the world because God teaches us this through the Bible. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16). In God's love for mankind, he gave us the very best.

If you need a family, friend...or a safe, warm place to worship God, then we offer that to you. Please come by for services, hang around after it is over, and share the Lord's love with us.

OUR PURPOSE: Our purpose is to adore and celebrate God through His son, Jesus, and make our way home to Him. We encourage one another to remain faithful to God on our journeys. In this, we must resist the temptations of life in our busy schedules, our entertainment choices and other activities. We encourage and help our family along this sometimes demanding road.

We also believe that God wants us to reach out to the Anderson community, to those who desire to share in God's love and become a member of a loving family.

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN VISITING: You will find the church of Christ family in Anderson to be a friendly and loving group. YOU WILL BE WELCOME!

We conduct our worship to God in a decent and orderly fashion. We partake of the communion, the Lord's supper, every Sunday to remember Jesus' death on the Cross. We sing praises in "a Capella". We share a lesson from God's Word. We make an offering from our material blessings in order to carry on the work and ministries God has given to us.

HOW DO YOU BECOME PART OF GODS FAMILY: It is not our place to choose who shall be a member of God's family. Acts 2:47 teaches God adds those who are obedient to His church. The obedient are those who have obeyed the gospel of Jesus Christ (Romans 10:16; 1st Thessalonians 1:8) and have received Jesus (John 1:12) as the Lord of their lives (Acts 2:36).

The Bible teaches that the gospel is the "good news" of what Jesus has done for us. THIS GOSPEL IS THE NEWS THAT JESUS WENT TO THE CROSS, DIED FOR THE SINS OF MANKIND AND ROSE FROM THE GRAVE ( 1st Corinthians 15:1-4). Through His blood (Ephesians 1:7) each person can turn back to God, be saved from their sins and find a new relationship with Him, our Father in Heaven.

Before Jesus came, mankind was under condemnation (John 3:16-18). This meant that mankind could never be with the Father in eternity because their sins had separated them from God (Isaiah 59:1-2). God placed himself under the the world of sins and condemnation (Romans 3:9, 23). When Jesus came to earth, He didn't come to condemn, but to save mankind. Jesus IS God's way for us to walk with Him again in a right relationship without sin.

When a person believes the Bible's teachings concerning Jesus, accepts these to be true, and willingly desires to commit himself to God, that person can be a part of God's family. His obedience is the fact that he has obeyed the gospel by believing in Jesus, by repenting of his sins, and by being immersed (baptized) into Jesus for the remission of his sins (Acts 2:36-38; Romans 6:3-5).

Now God adds him the to the family where he can seek to live for Jesus every day of his life. Jesus has become the Lord of his life.
